“I've currently worked with Andrew for around 3 years, beside him as a Technical Consultant, whilst he worked as a Technical Architect. There are a few people that you meet in your working life that you feel honoured and humbled to have the opportunity to work with. Andrew is one of these people. His depth of knowledge of software development is incredible - both in terms of the technical and process. He's equally at home designing complex multi-tiered system architectures, writing low level code, or designing a development process and defining the stage-gates for the most difficult of organisational structures. He absolutely understands how every aspect of software development works, including an incredible grasp of Git, and alternative branching strategies; Salesforce's meta-data APIs and build management capabilities and shortcomings; proper, deep understanding of Object Oriented design principles and practices; a multitude of languages such as Javascript, Apex and PHP; how frameworks intrinsically work and how to put together plug-in architectures. The list would just go on and on... On top of that, he has a positive, can-do, "how can we work out how to do that" attitude that makes you feel like anything is possible, whilst not shying away from the difficult conversations and giving bad news when needed. All the while helping to create a happy, comfortable and welcoming working environment. In short, he inspires everyone around him to be better. I only wish I could work with someone like Andrew in every job I have. He's that good.”
